Delete Your Account
We're sorry to see you go. Here's how to delete your WordHug account and all associated data.
This action is permanent and irreversible
Once your account is deleted, all your data — including your account information, writing history, saved messages, and subscription — will be permanently removed and cannot be recovered.
Method 1: In-App Deletion
- Open the WordHug app
- Go to Profile (bottom right tab)
- Tap Settings (gear icon)
- Scroll down and tap Delete Account
- Confirm your identity by entering your password or using biometric authentication
- Tap Permanently Delete to confirm
Method 2: Email Request
Send an email to support@wordhug.app with the following information:
- Subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
- The email address associated with your WordHug account
- A brief statement confirming you want to delete your account
What Gets Deleted
- Your account profile and login credentials
- All writing history and saved messages
- AI coach conversation history
- Notification preferences and saved dates
- Subscription information (subscription itself must be cancelled separately through Apple/Google)
What May Be Retained
- Payment transaction records (required by law for financial compliance)
- Anonymized, aggregated usage statistics
Processing Time
Account deletion requests are processed within 30 days. You will receive an email confirmation once your account has been permanently deleted.
Important: Deleting your account does not automatically cancel your subscription. Please cancel your subscription through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store before deleting your account to avoid being charged.
