1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using WordHug ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
WordHug is an AI-powered emotional expression assistant that helps users craft personal messages including love letters, apologies, birthday wishes, thank-you notes, and other heartfelt communications. The App also provides an AI coaching feature for emotional expression guidance.
3. User Accounts
You may use certain features without an account. To access full functionality and save your history, you may create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
4. User-Generated Content
4.1 Your Content, Your Ownership
You retain full ownership of all content you create using WordHug. This includes your input text, the messages generated based on your input, and any modifications you make. We do not claim any ownership rights or license over your content.
4.2 How We Process Your Content
We process your input text solely to provide the service — generating, rewriting, or suggesting messages. Your content is processed in real-time and is not permanently stored on our servers after delivery to your device. This is consistent with our Privacy Policy.
4.3 Acceptable Use
You agree not to use WordHug to:
- Generate content that is illegal, threatening, harassing, or promotes violence
- Impersonate another person with intent to deceive or harm
- Generate spam or bulk unsolicited messages
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the AI models
5. Subscriptions and Payments
5.1 Free Tier
WordHug offers 3 free message generations per day and 2 free AI coach conversations per day.
5.2 Paid Subscriptions
Pro subscriptions are available as monthly ($9.99/month) or annual ($39.99/year) plans. Annual plans include a 3-day free trial. We also offer a one-time emergency pack ($2.99 for 10 generations, never expires).
5.3 Billing
All payments are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Refund requests should be directed to Apple or Google according to their respective policies.
6. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer
WordHug uses artificial intelligence to generate message suggestions. While we strive for high quality, AI-generated content may occasionally be inappropriate, inaccurate, or not perfectly suited to your situation. You are responsible for reviewing and editing all generated content before sending it to others. WordHug is not responsible for any consequences resulting from the use of AI-generated messages.
7. Intellectual Property
The WordHug app, including its design, features, AI models, and brand assets, is owned by WordHug and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the App without our written permission.
8. Limitation of Liability
WordHug is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.
9. Account Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the App or by contacting support@wordhug.app. Upon account deletion, all your data will be permanently removed within 30 days.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the App. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first, and if necessary, through binding arbitration.
